This dial is painted onto the brickwork above the front door of a house in the grounds of a country estate in Shropshire. On the face of the sundial is the date 1702, which could also be the date that the house was built. It is one of a pair of dials. The other one, also declining, but declining west, is high on the end wall of the house.
